BroMenn Physician Intern Receives Award In Preventative Medicine
June 18, 2007 - Adrian T. Harvey, D.O., Intern in BroMenn Healthcare’s Graduate Medical Education program, was recently awarded first place in the Namey/Burnett Preventative Medicine Award Competition.
Dr. Harvey’s paper entitled “Weight Loss for Life” was presented at the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) Annual Convention in March and subsequently published in the April/May 2007 edition of the ACOFP journal. The paper focuses on the prevalence of obesity, the health benefits of weight loss and the success of various methods for losing weight.
Dr. Harvey is a graduate of Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University. He will graduate from his medical internship later this month and continue his training as a neurosurgery resident at BroMenn Healthcare. He currently resides in Bloomington with his wife and two children.
