BroMenn's 2008 Patient Satisfaction Awards Announced
Several BroMenn Healthcare System providers/service areas have been recognized for their excellence in patient satisfaction. Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC), a national administrator of patient satisfaction studies, has announced their National Excellence in Healthcare Awards for studies conducted in 2008.
The Inpatient Nursing Unit at Eureka Community Hospital received a 5-Star Award for Patient Perception of Overall Quality of Care, while Dr. Kimberly Marshall of Sugar Creek Medical Associates in Normal, Dr. Christopher Hughes of Town & Country Healthcare in Eureka and Dr. Carmen Chase of Twin Cities Behavioral Health in Normal each earned a 5-Star Award for Patient Perception of Overall Quality of Doctor Care. The 5-Star designation is given annually for scoring in the top ten percent of PRC's national client database for the prior calendar year. It is based on the percentage of patients who rated the provider as "excellent" in terms of Overall Quality of Care.
Eureka Community Hospital's Emergency Department was the recipient of PRC's 4-Star Award. This award is given annually to healthcare facilities or healthcare providers that score in the top twenty-five percent of PRC's national client database for the prior calendar year. They, too, are based on the percentage of patients who rated the facility or provider as "excellent" in Overall Quality of Care.
Omaha-based PRC has researched patient satisfaction for some of the most prestigious hospitals in the country. More than 1800 hospitals and health systems throughout the U.S. have utilized PRC's services over the past 27 years.
