Survey Says BroMenn is Area's Hospital of Choice

BroMenn Regional Medical Center (BRMC) is the hospital of choice of residents of McLean County over any other provider by more than a 2 to 1 margin, according to a survey conducted by Omaha, Nebraska-based Professional Research Consultants (PRC).  The survey found that this preference for BRMC extends to perceptions of which hospital has the highest quality nurses and staff, which were also mentioned more than 2 to 1 over any other hospital.

When asked what hospital comes to mind first, more than 64% of those surveyed said BroMenn, well ahead of any other provider.

"There is no question that BroMenn Regional Medical Center is firmly positioned as the provider of choice in McLean County," says Alex Horvath, BroMenn's Vice President of Human Resources. "Overwhelmingly, BroMenn is where people in this county want to receive their hospital care."

Additionally, BRMC was mentioned more than 2 to 1 by residents for the perceived strength of its Brain/Stroke care, Major Surgery, Maternity Care, Orthopedic Services, Trauma/ER, Outpatient Diagnostic Testing, Mental Health and Gastrointestinal services.

BRMC was also the leading choice of consumers for the perceived strength of its Cardiovascular, Outpatient Surgery and Geriatric services.

"Our nurses, staff and physicians work together everyday as a team to provide what people in McLean County feel is the best care available. This is a great accomplishment for everyone associated with BroMenn," says Horvath.

The results were compiled from a random phone survey of more than 350 households in McLean County conducted by healthcare research specialists PRC during the summer of 2008. PRC is the premier marketing research organization providing services exclusively for the healthcare industry.
