Pneumonia is a serious lung infection that causes difficulty breathing, fever, cough and fatigue. These quality measures show some of the recommended treatments for pneumonia, for patients whose history and condition indicate the treatment is appropriate.

What does this mean to me?  At BroMenn Regional Medical Center, most pneumonia care measures were above the state and national averages during this period of time.  Thirty day mortality from 2006-2007 was higher than the US average given the number of patients requesting no aggressive treatment or cardiopulmonary resuscitation during this time period.
