Eureka Community Hospital Inpatient Services

Acute and Skilled Care

A stay at Eureka Community Hospital (ECH) means quality, professional treatment on a 25-bed acute-care floor. Registered, certified personnel provide ongoing care for medical-surgical, pediatric and orthopedic patients. In life-threatening situations, certified cardiac care nurses handle 24-hour direct monitoring.

Interim Care

Some patients no longer need acute care, but are still not ready to function by themselves at home or to be transferred to a long-term care facility. ECH offers intermediate care, which allows patients to remain in a supervised medical setting for a limited time.

Respite care, or short-term hospital care for people who are not able to care for themselves, is also available. This allows caretakers to meet other responsibilities with peace of mind, knowing that their loved ones are still receiving one-on-one professional care.

Social Service

ECH provides one-on-one service from professionals who can assist with discharge planning, including outpatient placement or transfer to another facility, for those patients who may require additional help after their hospital stay. These social workers are also available to listen to patient or family concerns and will help in any way they can.
