The BroMenn Women’s Center was created to offer services that are important to all women in a supportive, caring environment. We paid special attention to privacy and comfort when designing our center, and hope that you will feel good about coming to BroMenn for your prevention needs and healthcare concerns.
Education/Events
BroMenn Women’s Center sponsors many fun and educational classes and community events such as Dessert With The Doctor, the Joyful Journey seminar, Women Taking Care luncheons, and more. We also participate in other events such as health fairs and seminars to help reach women where they live and work.
Community Partnerships
By partnering with community groups, we offer education and screenings throughout the community. We can also draw upon the expertise of those from other organizations to bring you the best information available.
Resources
Women make most of the healthcare decisions for themselves and for their families. We want to provide you with the resources to make informed decisions about the healthcare topics that concern you.
Women who are struggling with infertility can join The Hannah Group, a group support experience with women who can provide a listening ear, understanding and personal information about the challenges of infertility.
Screenings
Prevention is key to your health and well-being. We offer several types of screenings, both in the Women’s Center and at other sites, to help you assess your health and take action.
Imaging Technology
The Women’s Center imaging technology includes: DEXA bone densitometry equipment; a state-of-the-art SeleniaTM digital mammography system; and an advanced, sensitive ultrasound system. You can have confidence in the results of your visit.
We use the ImageChecker¨ system with OmniCAD technology to assist radiologists who review mammograms. It is the first CAD system to receive FDA approval for use with screening, diagnostic and digital mammography.
The ImageChecker processing unit analyzes a mammogram to detect and mark areas with unusual features. The CAD information is then transferred to a display unit for radiologists to view the marks for a second review. This “second look” significantly increases the early detection of cancer.
BroMenn Regional Medical Center also offers breast MRI for situations when mammogram results may warrant closer examination. An MRI uses magnets and radiowaves connected to a computer to make many detailed pictures of the breast. Breast MRI enables physicians to visualize not only cancer in the breast but the effect it has on the surrounding anatomy
Comprehensive, caring service
Both screening and diagnostic mammography services are performed in the Women’s Center. When diagnostic services are needed, they can be addressed by breast ultrasound and other diagnostic procedures when approved by the referring physician. This allows for a shortened wait time for results about areas of concern.
